Top 5 Healthy Food Pics on Instagram

It’s only been 2 weeks since we set off on instagram but already we’re loving the healthy food posts we’ve seen! If you haven’t already found us, you can follow us here.

We’re not the first to post delicious healthy food, and we won’t be the last. Keep reading to find out our top 5 best healthy food instagram pictures, great inspiration for meal ideas to keep the calorie count down!

1. Grilled Salmon from gabrielle_rose_b

“It doesn’t get much more nutritious than this. Salmon cooked on the grill top (one of the best gifts ever!) and seasoned with @flavorgod Lemon Garlic, Pink Himalayan Sea Salt, and fresh lemon juice. The skin was perfectly crisped. Happy tummy!”

This salmon looks so tasty! Served with broccoli (a great source of vitamin c) we like this meal idea because it’s so easy to cook and is a great alternative to meat while providing you with lots of omega-3 and vitamin B. Grilling the salmon will often give it a tasty crispy skin on top – but cooking it in the oven works too if you’re looking to make the process even simpler.

2. Mixed Berry Post Workout Meal from danxlg

"I really like week 05! Except the skipping bc that's so hard to keep track so I just do 50-60 jumping jacks haha. All in all, leg day cardio was amazing. R.I.P. to my legs tomorrow. We couldn’t help but be captivated by the vibrant colours of this bright berry treat! Here it’s meant as a post work out meal, but we think this would be great for breakfast or even a super healthy boost dessert after lunch or dinner. We only wish we could see the yummy banana, apple and natural yoghurt hidden underneath. Why not try adding some vanilla ice cream and eating from a tall glass as a low calorie sundae?

We love all the yummy veg in this dish… and is that pineapple we see in the bottom right corner? Delicious! Adding pineapple to savoury dishes is a great way of adding a sweet, nutritious edge to your meals: making your own sweet and sour dishes with pineapple is a great healthy substitute to Chinese takeaway. At a guess, we’d say that in this dish there is the possibility to have: sweetcorn, peas, tomato sauce, pineapple, chickpeas, baby carrots, broccoli and peppers.

Brussels and it’s not Christmas! Who’d have thought brussel sprouts could look so delicious when cooked with bacon and dates. That’s why we like this colourful dish so much –  it changes the ordinary and traditional to bring in new flavours. The slaw is looking yummy too: without the traditional fattening dairy in the slaw they’ve opted for some healthy veg and a mix of herbs, fruits and vinegar to give it a fresh feeling – a perfect side dish to add in to your diet plan.
